Qualification

  • Trade Apprentice: Passed ITI in respective trade (Fitter, Electrician, Welder, etc.).
  • Technician Apprentice: Diploma in Engineering/Technology in relevant branch.
  • Graduate Apprentice (Engg): B.E. / B.Tech in relevant Engineering branch.
  • Graduate Apprentice (Non-Engg): B.Sc (Physics/Chemistry), B.Com, BA, or equivalent.

Full Eligibility

Candidates must have completed their qualifying exam (Diploma/Degree) within 5 years of the application closing date to be eligible for NATS 2.0. Applicants must be medically fit and should not have undergone previous apprenticeship training.

Salary (Stipend)

Selection Process

Selection for the NPCIL Apprentice 2026 is purely merit-based. No written exam or interview will be conducted for these positions.

  • Merit List: Prepared based on marks obtained in ITI/Diploma/Graduation.
  • Local Preference: Applicants from villages within 16 km radius of the site get first priority.
  • Tie-Breaking: Older candidates get preference; if still tied, higher Matriculation marks will be used.
  • Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must present original certificates.
  • Medical Examination: Final selection is subject to medical fitness.

Job Profile & Responsibility

The selected Apprentices will undergo on-the-job training at the Kakrapar Nuclear Power Site. This is a training program and not a permanent job.

  • Learning operational and maintenance procedures of nuclear power plant components.
  • Assisting engineers and technicians in technical documentation and quality checks.
  • Strict adherence to Safety and Nuclear Radiation protocols.
  • Maintenance of logs and reports related to the specific trade or discipline.
