Qualification
- Matriculation Exam: Must have passed the 10th standard exam with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized Board of School Education.
- Technical Diploma: Must have successfully completed a three-year diploma course with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from an AICTE recognized Polytechnic Institute in Engineering or Electrical streams.

Salary
Selected candidates will receive an attractive customized package of Rs. 30,000/- per month during the first year with structured annual increments alongside a one-time Seva Nidhi package.

- Seva Nidhi Package: On completion of 4 years, a one-time lump-sum package of approximately Rs. 10.04 Lakh (including interest accrued) will be paid.
- Allowances: Risk and hardship, dress, and travel allowances will be applicable as specified.
- Insurance Cover: Non-contributory Life Insurance Cover of Rs. 48 Lakh for the engagement duration.
- Ex-Gratia Benefits: Rs. 44 Lakh for death attributable to service. Up to Rs. 44 Lakh for disability based on percentage (100%/75%/50%).
- Pension and Gratuity: There will be no entitlement to regular gratuity and pensionary benefits.
Selection Process
The selection of Agniveer Apprentice in the Indian Navy follows a rigorous shortlisting and multiple evaluation framework.
- Stage-I: Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET) - Computer-based objective examination conducted across India.
- Document Shortlisting: State-wise merit shortlisting based on Stage-I marks to issue Call Letters for Stage-II.
- Stage-II: Physical Fitness Test (PFT) - Mandatory physical performance qualification round.
- Stage-II: Written Examination - Conducted for all PFT qualifiers.
- Stage-II: Recruitment Medical Examination - Evaluation of initial medical fitness benchmarks.
- Provisional Select List (PSL): Prepared state-wise based on performance in Stage-II written exam, subject to qualifying PFT and Medicals.
- Pre-Enrolment Medicals: Final verification and medical checks conducted at INS Chilka prior to induction.

Candidates enrolled under the Agniveer Apprentice rank will form a completely distinct cohort within the Navy. They represent the junior-most rank during their engagement period and must handle complex technical equipment onboard ships, submarines, or ashore establishments.

- Step 5: Upload scanned copies of original documents (10th Marksheet, Diploma Certificate, Domicile, NCC 'C' or Sponsor Certificate if held).
- Step 6: Upload your passport-size color photograph (taken not before May 2026, size 10-50 KB) with a light background and the date of the photograph clearly written at the bottom. A live webcam photo will also be captured.
- Step 7: Pay the online exam fee of Rs. 550/- + 18% GST using UPI, Net Banking, or Credit/Debit cards.
