Selection Process
The selection mechanism relies purely on performance in the online exam followed by standard statistical assessment models.
- Computer Based Test (CBT): Candidates must appear for the designated objective papers online.
- Normalization Procedure: Since the examination spans multiple sessions and shifts, an official statistical Normalization Formula will be implemented to calibrate candidate marks up to 5 decimal places.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: Candidates must score above the preset cutoff percentage tailored for separate communities.
- Weightage in TRT: Qualified individuals secure eligibility for the upcoming Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT), where the APTET score holds a 20% weightage and the written test holds an 80% weightage.
Exam Pattern
Understand the structure of marks distribution and qualifying criteria defined for all four independent question papers.
| S.No | Community / Category | Pass Percentage Criterion | Required Pass Marks (Out of 150) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | OC / EWS | 60% and above | 90 Marks and above |
| 2 | BC | 50% and above | 75 Marks and above |
| 3 | SC / ST / PwBD & Ex-servicemen | 40% and above | 60 Marks and above |
| Total Maximum Marks per Paper | 150 Marks | ||
- Each individual paper contains a total weightage of 150 marks.
- PwBD Definitions: Candidates with a minimum of 40% disability (Visually, Orthopedically, Hearing Impaired, and Autism) qualify under the disabled tier. For the Hearing Impaired segment, "Deaf" equates to a 70 DB loss and "Hard of Hearing" equates to a 60 DB to 70 DB loss in speech frequencies across both ears.
- Attempts: There is no ceiling restriction on the total number of attempts. Qualified candidates can reappear at any time to upgrade their previous scores.
- Validity: The qualified APTET credentials stay valid for a lifetime period.

Review the segregation of subjects implemented for the evaluation of teachers at various structural levels.
