Qualification
- Candidates must hold a Master's Degree or equivalent with at least 55% marks (General/EWS) or 50% marks (OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD/PwBD/Third Gender).
- Candidates with a 4-year/8-semester Bachelor's Degree must have a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade. A 5% relaxation is provided for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/Differently-Abled/EWS.
- Those pursuing their Master's degree or awaiting final year results can apply provisionally. They must complete their degree with the required percentage within two years (for JRF/Assistant Professor) or one year (for Ph.D. only) from the NET result date.
- Ph.D. degree holders whose Master's level examination was completed by 19 September 1991 are eligible for a 5% relaxation in aggregate marks.

Selection Process
The selection for Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 is based entirely on a Computer Based Test (CBT). Candidates must achieve minimum qualifying marks to be considered for JRF, Assistant Professor, or Ph.D. admission.
- The selection process involves a single Computer Based Test (CBT).
